Europe planning checklist
- Flights & hotels: Embark and return cities may differ on one-way Med routes. Build a night before in the embarkation city.
- Documents: Passports for everyone; check visa / ETIAS rules for your nationality well ahead.
- Port days: Choose one “job” per call (ruins or beach or old town) — Europe punishes overstuffed itineraries.
- Money: Cards are widely accepted in tourist cities; still carry a small cash backup and know your chip-and-PIN habits.
- Payment timing: Longer sailings often use the ~120-day final payment window — see deposit & final payment.
Walking shoes beat extra swimsuits
Use the Europe packing section as your base. Mediterranean summers can feel Caribbean-hot; Northern Europe needs layers. Either way, broken-in walking shoes are non-negotiable.
