Overview
The Disney Fantasy joined the fleet in 2012 as the Dream's sister ship, sharing the same 130,000-ton hull, 1,250 staterooms, and 4,000-passenger capacity. The two ships are structurally close to identical; the differences show up in styling and themed details rather than layout. Where the Dream is Art Deco, the Fantasy is styled Art Nouveau.
Like the Dream, the Fantasy carries the AquaDuck water coaster and the fleet's most extensive adult-only district, spread across the same upper-deck footprint her sister uses. If you've sailed one Dream-class ship, the other will feel immediately familiar.
Staterooms
Staterooms follow the same four-category structure as the rest of the fleet — Inside, Oceanview, Verandah, and Concierge — with the same split-bathroom layout and, in inside cabins, the same virtual-porthole feature introduced on the Dream.

Royal Court Royal Tea
Paid princess tea experience on Magic, Wonder, Dream, and Fantasy — not on Wish (Wish has Olaf’s Royal Picnic instead). Aimed at kids roughly ages 3–12 with accompanying adults. Book in your Castaway Club activity window once the cruise is paid in full; slots are limited.
Woody’s Roundup Breakfast
On select Pixar Day at Sea sailings aboard the Disney Fantasy, Animator’s Palate hosts a western-themed character breakfast. Disney’s official name is Hey Howdy Breakfast with Woody and Friends; fans usually call it Woody’s Roundup Breakfast. It debuted with Pixar Day at Sea and is inspired by Woody’s Roundup from Toy Story 2.
Sheriff Woody, Jessie, and Bullseye work the room for photos and interactions while a cowboy guitarist leads sing-alongs (expect “You’ve Got a Friend in Me”). The meal is complimentary with your cruise but not automatic — reserve it in My Cruise Activities when your window opens (typically ~30 days before sail, often at midnight Eastern). Slots sell out fast; treat this like a first-grab activity if it’s a priority for your kids.
This is a Fantasy + Pixar Day itinerary exclusive — not offered as a standard breakfast on Dream, Wish-class, or other ships. More dining context: Character dining hub.
- Where: Animator’s Palate turns western for the morning — same Dream-class dining room with the Mickey “pants” chairs (red backs, yellow buttons).
- Who shows up: Woody, Jessie, and Bullseye (the Roundup gang) — not Buzz or the full Toy Story cast at the breakfast.
- Menu nods: Signature plates have included Bullseye’s Mini Pancake Tower, the Prospector’s Breakfast Burrito, Biscuit Express, The Roundup Gang Hash, and Bonnie’s plant-based hot breakfast — plus Mickey waffles off the griddle.
- Timing tip: Reservations are often offered on more than one sea day of the sailing (not only the labeled Pixar Day), so you can still do morning deck parties and character meets.
- Book urgency: Complimentary ≠ easy. Be ready at your Castaway Club window; popular sailings fill in minutes.

Theatre seating is first-come for most sailings — arrive 15–20 minutes early for center/aisle seats on the “must-see” production for your ship (Wish: Little Mermaid; Dream/Fantasy: Beauty and the Beast or Frozen; Magic/Wonder: check Navigator). Pair show nights with your dining seating so you’re not racing from dessert.
Youth clubs
Oceaneer Club/Lab (~3–12), Edge (tweens), Vibe (teens), nursery (extra fee). Register day one — same Dream-class playbook as the Dream.
Oceaneer Club / Lab typically opens mid-morning through late evening (often ~9am–midnight on sea days; shorter on port days). Edge and Vibe skew afternoon/evening. Register Oceaneer on embarkation day; nursery is reservation + fee. Confirm exact hours in Navigator for your sailing.
Character greeting times post in the Navigator app once you’re onboard (and sometimes the night before). Popular meets — Mickey, princesses, Marvel / Pixar on themed ships — draw lines early on embarkation afternoon. Free character phone calls can be scheduled pre-cruise for many sailings.
Nightlife

Midship Detective Agency
Same free atrium scavenger hunt as her sister ship: detective badge, clue cards, and animated artwork stations that reveal the next lead. Mysteries rotate by sailing — start early if you want more than one case.
Pepe the King Prawn’s mini door (stateroom 5148½) is a Muppets Midship Detective Agency find on the Fantasy and Dream — a kid-height cabin door packed with Pepe’s “vacation” notices. Look for it along the cabin corridors while you’re on the case.

Easter eggs & hidden details
The Fantasy mirrors the Dream’s scavenger-hunt DNA with her own Art Nouveau twist. Hunt for these:
- Stern: Dumbo — the only DCL stern themed to the flying elephant rather than a classic Fab Five character.
- Atrium statue: Minnie Mouse, the Fantasy’s lobby host (Dream’s atrium is Admiral Donald).
- Art Nouveau atrium with a peacock-inspired stained-glass flourish above the chandelier — pause for the color and pattern work overhead.
- Classic three-circle Mickey silhouettes have been spotted in the chandelier and nearby metalwork.
