The trip is different before you even board
A Florida Wish-class cruise is often a domestic flight plus a hotel night. Adventure is usually a long-haul into Singapore, jet lag, and embarkation at Marina Bay. Build a buffer night (or two) on land. Same-day fly-in with kids is a rough way to start a 3-night sailing.
Passports are required for this itinerary pattern. Cost math often tilts toward airfare and hotels as much as the cruise fare — use the cost guide as a frame, then add Asia travel.
Onboard: lands, not “the usual loop”
Wish-class ships are still recognizably DCL: atrium, rotational dinner, youth clubs, adult district. Adventure is organized around seven themed lands (Imagination Garden, Marvel Landing, Toy Story Place, San Fransokyo Street, Town Square, Wayfinder Bay, Disney Discovery Reef). Dining is a wider rotation plus land-based quick service — Navigator’s Club, Animator’s rooms, Gramma Tala’s Kitchen, Stitch’s grill, and more — not a 1:1 copy of 1923 / Arendelle / Worlds of Marvel.
Short sailings compress the calendar. You will not “do the whole ship” the way you might on a 7-night Treasure. Pick a land, a show, and one splash-out meal, then stop.
