Which Magic sailings are we talking about?
Disney has published two 14-night Panama Canal repositioning cruises on the Disney Magic:
- Nov 6, 2026 — eastbound San Diego → Galveston (Cabo, Puerto Vallarta, canal transit, Cartagena, Grand Cayman, and sea days).
- Apr 25, 2027 — westbound Galveston → San Diego (Cozumel, Cartagena, canal transit, Cabo, Ensenada, and sea days).
These are one-way sailings — you fly into one coast and home from the other. Confirm live itineraries and inventory with Disney or a travel agent; Cruising Cove doesn’t sell sailings.
Why this matters for planners
Panama Canal cruises aren’t a typical 3-night Bahamas hop. Expect ~8 sea days, a full canal-viewing day (not a Panama City pier afternoon), a 1-year minimum age rule, and open-jaw flights. The new guides are written for that reality — buffer math, heat, tendering, and what to prioritize so you don’t miss the locks.
